Just imagine being able to see the horizon, your pitch and roll, turn and bank
as well as your ground speed , heading, altitude and course all displayed out
in front of you as you fly. Now you can...
The VirtualHUD is a revolutionary product that allows you to have
fantastic situational awareness without taking your eyes off the sky. Though it
appears that the images are projecting onto the windscreen, VirtualHUD projects flight data onto a virtual surface
created by your spinning propeller.
It does not obstruct your vision as it is syncronized to the propeller. Now
instead of looking at a display inside the cockpit, you simply fly with your
eyes outside the plane.

Visible day or
night and utilizing onboard sensors, this unit displays artificial horizon,
pitch, turn and bank as well as ground speed, heading and altitude. With data
from your existing GPS, whether handheld or built in, it generates “Highway in
the Sky” (HITS). Simply enter a way point on your GPS and magenta boxes
appear on the back of your propeller in front of your wind screen. Fly through
the boxes to your destination. If your GPS is IFR certified and you are on a GPS
approach, HITS will take you to decision level and show a missed approach for
you to follow.
ForwardVU is
available as a portable unit for certified planes and can be optionally built in
for experimental or LSA.

includes an external video input allowing simultaneous display of flight data and HITS along with images generated from
other products, for example, an infrared camera or synthetic vision out in front
of you as a “big screen“ image.
